Hi,
I just picked up an old hit and miss engine at auction.  I am completely new to this hobby although I have worked on some tractors in the past.  Looking for some information regarding these engines.  How to identify what I have.  What steps to take to get ready to fire.  What is required to fire?  If anyone has the time to walk somebody green through the various steps please reply.
Thanks Mikey

Update,
I have a McCormick Deering 1 1/2 HP Model "M" Spark Plug engine.  Does anyone have a good source for documentation?  Mainly looking for operators manual.  Anything that will help me determine wether everything is in good condition,  How to lubricate the engine and get set up tp start this engine.
Thanks,
Mikey
